And who's the clown in the room?

“And who's the clown in the room?”

A common fear is failing. Failure to succeed; to impress; to communicate; to thrive. Fear is debilitating and stops people from fulfilling their potential. Where, or who, are we giving our energy to when we choose to stop ourselves? I have always struggled to define my shadow self. What would that look like? Who are they to me? If you are not aware of yourself of sorts, then there’s no way to accurately predict its capacity; the impact it may have on you and others. The idea that my shadow self was something bigger than me, a separate entity, frightened me. Insecurity is a tough fight and it can easily take control if one lets it. I used to punish myself as foolish before I learnt to make love to my dark side. As humans, we are many things, but we are not one substance. We are two--- both good and bad. Take a step back and ask “What’s right about this? Why am I investing so much energy into this notion?”. Redefine fear through seeking harmony. You are no fool as long as you know it.
