Home For Summer
This year was my first year away at University, and although I've worked abroad and travelled, I've never truly lived away from home. This summer, coming home was such a breath of fresh air. I don't know wether it was to do with the freedom away from structure, having family and old friends around, or the warm sun and salty water - but for the first time in a few years, I found myself head-over-heels in love with home again. These are the pictures I took on my first night back, after an evening stroll and drive around the streets.
I went to my favourite field where I used to sit with my best friend after school, or go to dance when I was frustrated with the world. I went to the beach where I have spent countless days, sunrises, sunsets, dog-walks. And I soaked up all the love this place had to offer.
After a few years of escaping from this place, this summer was sparkling, and I don't feel the need to run from it anymore.
