The Experience of Now
Cold day remembering warmth. At home alone remembering last night. Festivals on festivals, fun underneath fun. No, this one isn't as good as the last one, is it?
This series focuses on how memory can console us, hurt us, and hinder us. We are constantly taking photos, documenting, comparing. Oftentimes this can undermine the experience of 'now' - the immediate present that will never happen again. At times, a well-placed cry or melancholy reflection can be good for us. Each moment does not have to be better than the last. We must, once in a while, put down the camera and begin something wholly new.
