Wildly Unstable
These photos are part of my ongoing photographic series which explores the experience of being a young woman. I search for the intimate qualities of my life as one, and my best friends as well. Everyday life, with all its constant challenges and changes, has many oneiric qualities, which I try to uncover and reflect on my shots.
Life has its way of showing you heartbreak—complete agony. It all balances itself in a widely unstable way, one shift and it all comes crumbling down. I think being a teenager is just the epitome of that: one moment, you're at the top of the world, yet at the next one you hit rock bottom.
Not only that, but as young people, especially being a teenage girl, discovering oneself and forming an identity is not an easy job. But it’s a very rewarding one. This discovery, at the end of the day, comes with thousands of doubts, fears, and experiences that shape us as individuals.
